A young boy named Pip is an orphan who lives with his sister and her husband,Mr and Mrs Gargery.Pip visits the marshes where his mother and father have been buried.A churchyard down by the river 20 miles from the sea.Pip,crying,is confronted by a criminal with an leg iron and threatens him by telling that a young boy will tear him open and take out his heart and liver if he didn’t bring him food and a file.Pip is terrified runs home,listening the sound of the prison ships.The next morning he steals the food with the file and heads to the marshes
