Pip entered Miss Havisham’s again and observes a room with three ladies and one gentleman.The gentleman was cousin Raymond and two others were Miss Pocket and Camilla.While walking down a corridor with Estella, a burly man with large head and hands took pip’s chin. He told him to behave. Miss Havisham orders pip into a dark room which was the wedding cake and then walks around the room in circles.Still walking around. The three guest from the other room and Estella visits Miss Havisham and Pip as they are worried.This day was apparently Miss Havisham’s birthday.Pip and Havisham then stop walking and the visitors head out.While Pip is playing he meets a pale young gentleman which he plays with but he then asks him to fight him Pip not being rude accepts as the pale gentleman is eager so they fight.Pip wins and heads home

Pip is worried about the fight is thinks that “the Law would avenge it.”However nothing happens.He then decides to go to Miss Havisham’s house.While there Havisham asks Pip what he is going to do in his life.Pip says that he is going to have a apprentice with Joe.Then one day Miss Havisham asks Pip to bring Joe next time

Within chapter ten Pip is educated by Biddy but one night after school Pip enters the bar known as the Jolly Bargemen to collect Joe but he finds a anonymous person speaking to Mr Wopsle. The person then pulls out a file to stir his drink, it is the same file that his convict used.he person who they don’t know gives Pip money but they soon find out there is alot more money than he said.They try to give it back but they cant so they keep it until they see him again.
