Chapter 19- Pip is getting a suit from a tailor and comforts Joe forcefully due to hime leaving, Biddy however notices this and critisizes him.He is now heading out for london but he visits the Satis house one more time which makes Pip think that Miss Havisham is the benefactor

Chapter 20-Pip is in london with Mr Jagger and he knows that he is known for what he does which is a lawyer, we know this because many mutter his name and are waiting at his office. We then meet his clerk Mr Wemmick which soon later becomes a friend of Pip.

Chapter 21- Mr Wemmick introduces Herbert Pocket whom Pip is going to stay the night with.Herbert is very kind and honest man and we soon know that he is the pale young gentleman that Pip met years ago at the Satis house.

Chapter 22-They laugh it off and start to like each other so Pip asks how to be a gentleman and they both live together.Pip is then given to nickname Handel and is told about the story of Havisham and how her future husband left her

Chapter 23-Pip goes the Dinner at the Pockets’ which Are mostly run by servants since the nurse is raising the childre. We then meet Bentley Drummle a unpleasant person.A d Startop soft and delicate.

Chapter 24-Pip goes back to Mr Jagger’s and tells him if he could live with Herbert.Wemmick and Pip get to know each other by inviting Pip to Wemmick’s house. We then see Mr Jagger’s doing what he does and see that he is very frightening

Chapter 25-Pip finds out that Wemmick’s house is a castle that his a cannon in which he fires and that he is very different from work.Pip gets to know Drummle and Startop by attending dinners

Chapter 26- Pip attends dinner with Jagger’s amoung those with him is with Bentley Drummle  who Jagger’s tells Pip to stay away from

Chapter 27-Joe come to London to see Pip and Pip Does not want to see him as he may affect his lifestyle.Joe tell Pip that Estella has returned to the Satis house and Pip changes his hate towards him.

Chapter 28-Going back to see Joe and Estella. Pip shares a coach with some convicts one of who is the man who gave Hume the 2 100 pound notes and overhears that he was sent by the man who was helped by Pip.

Chapter 29-When seeing Estella.Pip is amazed at what she has become.Estella now treats Pip normally and find out Mr Jagger’s is here which makes Pip uneasy

Chapter 30-Orlick who now works for Miss Havisham is now sacked due to his past which was told by Pip.Pip the. Return toLondon  where he find out that Herbert can’t afford to marry his love.

Chapter 31-Herbert and Pip go to the theatre or find Mr Wopsle playing in the play.He is then taken out for dinner where mr Wopsle is still quite agitated

Chapter 32- Pip is going to meet Estella at the London train station but is very early so there he meets Wemmick who takes Pip on a tour around Newgate Prison

Chapter 33-When meeting Estella.She treats Pip arrogantly and makes pip know that she is unobtainable.However Estella then makes Pip happy and continues to play with him

Chapter 34-Pip is guilty about how he treated Biddy and Joe.Herbert and Pip then try to sort out their debts but jest then He receives a note saying that Mrs Joe his sister has died.

Chapter 35-Pip goes to the funeral and tries to improve his relationship with Joe and Biddy he truly says that he will cost them more often.He then heads back to London.

Chapter 36- It’s Pip’s 21st Birthday meaning he is now a adult this means that he now thinks that Jagger’s can tell him who is giving him the money, Mr Jagger’s however aware of Pip’s debts,so he then gives a bank note worth five hundred pounds,this however is only once per year and Mr Jagger’s still does not reveal any information about the benefactor.Pip then invites MrJaggers to his birthday party in which makes it very awkward for the rest of Pips friends.

Chapter 37- Within this chapter, Pip is deciding whether to spend his money on his friends Herbert.He gets help from Mr Wemmick which says that it would be more fun to throw the money off a bridge than investing in his friend.While with Mr Wemmick we meet Miss Skiffins which is Wemmick’s Girlfriend.Pip finally decides to invest in Herbert but in the same way he gets his money.Anonymously.

Chapter 38-Pip spends time with Estella in London where they then decide to go visit Ms Havisham.While visting,Pip witnesses an argument between them and Estella says why should she love her when Ms Havisham taught her not to love.We then know that Pip is not a victim of Estella’s work and says that she treats Pip normally.This makes Pip feel less important
